Wow! We discovered that making butter by hand is a really tiring process! In our History lessons, we have been comparing farms from then and now. We talked about some of the jobs that are done on a farm, such as milking cows and learnt how they have changed over time. We quickly realised that machines have really helped to speed up lots of the jobs. Next, we all learnt how to make butter in a jam jar using double cream and a lot of shaking! We had great fun shaking up the cream to music and watching as it magically turned into butter. The best part was when we got to try the butter on some bread!
