Wise Woman Cures

Life in the fens in the past was harsh. The fen people had no access to medical help, so they relied on the knowledge of the local 'Wise Woman'.  The Wise Woman would make her medicines and cures from natural ingredients and animals she could find growing and living in the fens. In Forest School, the children pretended they were the Wise Woman and searched for ingredients they could use in their pretend medicines.
