The Year 4 children had a great time visiting West Stow on Thursday. They got the opportunity to look in to all of the different buildings there. The staff talked to the children about how they thought the Anglo Saxon’s had built their homes and the evidence they had found to lead them to build them as they had. After lunch, the children explored the museum, getting the opportunity to be historians themselves by trying to identify different artefacts. The children were delighted to find the Beowulf trail (the book they have used in their English lessons) and many had their photo taken with Grendel’s arm! Throughout the day the children asked lots of very thoughtful questions and were exceptionally well behaved. Well done Year 4!
