Ely Cathedral Trip

On Thursday the Year 5/6 children all visited Ely Cathedral to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War, it is also 100 years since the RAF was formed and 100 year since women got the vote.  During the day the children met either a soldier, a suffragette or an army chaplain and took part in a remembrance service.  In class the children used watercolour paints to paint the background to a silhouette of a soldier and made their own poppy to take with them to the cathedral.
